Interior was cozy, if a little cramped. They make their own pasta which seemed decent. Went with my family; we all got pasta dishes. The sauce was much too sweet for my taste (or the rest of my family). Even my wife thought it was too sugary, and she usually likes it on the sweet side. Salad was good. Bread was decent. Was hoping for/expecting one of those inexpensive but solid Italian places that I had in my hometown growing up and several places I've lived since. I was ultimately disappointed.

Jim's has been around since 1952, good Italian cuisine, fair price. You have to try the meatballs.

Small but clean, nice atmosphere and reasonable price. Nice and friendly staff. I had cheese burger with the works was a large burger. BLT was large also they did not skimp on the bacon. I'll be back

Always a must if you are visiting the area! Tradition of wonderful Italian dishes based on generations of family recipes. Friendly service. Delicious food. BYOB a nice bottle of wine or a few beers, to enjoy with your meal.

Great Italian food, fast and friendly service. The garlic bread and salad that come with the meal are fantastic. The house salad dressing is amazing... I don't know what they do to it, but it is seriously delicious. I love dunking the garlic bread in it, too.

A bit pricy but good pizza

Diner food. Sandwiches are good, but where's the Italian food? Parking is a nightmare and they have strange hours.

Homemade pasta, family-friendly atmosphere, and a good hometown feel really made me want to like this place. The 'marinara' was unfortunately bad enough to actually kinda ruin the whole meal, despite the fact that the rest of the food was well made. It was *very* sweet, sweeter than pizza sauce, and - after a number of attempts - determinedly unpalatable. The pasta was drenched (not usually a bad thing) and not quite salvageable. They have other sauces which I am in the odd position of having to recommend without actually trying them. If you do go get the sauce on the side and see if perhaps you like it as the rest of the food was quite good.

Local gem! My family has gone here since I was a kid. Love the red sauce and the salad!

They always have amazing quality food and they get it to you fast enough to rival Burger King in speed, without the inaccuracies of your order of course. The only downside is that their sauce for stuff is usually a bit watery for my tastes. Amazing subs though!

The place is on the side of a steep hill and apparently has a large take out business, so when we went in our meal was prepared to go, but they served it to us there. Nice intimate place. Very old school.

This is a staple of my family and any one that knows us. Yes it is a small place, yes it's on the side of a hill, yes there is limited parking, but it is what it is. I hope it never changes as every time I eat there it brings back wonderful memories.

Hometown good Italian restaurant in a family style atmosphere. Be prepared to leave with a full belly.

This will be a normal stop for us now whenever we come over from New Jersey. My son and daughter in law brought me and it was fabulous! The food, staff and atmosphere was awesome!!

Jim's is a Bellefonte institution. I love the pasta and sauce, but the sauce is sweet which can be a turn off for many. Their hoagies are great as well.

This place is fire. Completely different from Mamma Lucrezia's, yet just as good. Bring the wife to Lucrezia's, and the side chick to Jim's. Boom.

The service here is ok, the wait staff isn't the most attentive. The food here is pretty good, it might be slightly over priced for the quality. Over all it's pretty good.

I've been going to Jim's for years!! I don't go that often and the staff still know me by name and what my favorite order is. Incredible customer service!! Wonderful establishment and the food is some of the best Italian I've had!!

Food is amazing!!!! But the location of the restaurant is awful :/ barely any parking, and way too small of a venue with how packed it always is. Everything else is always wonderful though!

Awesome food and atmosphere. I loved the chicken parmesan sub, I asked for Xtra sauce on the sub and they gave me a big dish of it for no extra charge. Would highly recommend
